The How2 5S and TPM workshop is a practical two-day course aimed at first-line managers and team leaders to enable them to effectively implement these invaluable lean tools and techniques.
The course is delivered by an experienced lean practitioner from The Manufacturing Institute and combines a mixture of presentation, discussion and interactive learning exercises to explain and practice 5S and TPM techniques: - 5S standardisation and sustainability.
- Getting things fixed and how to overcome obstacles.
- The link from 5S to TPM.
- The need for TPM and how to develop TPM strategies.
- The importance of OEE and how to measure it.
- The 6 big losses.
- The machine cycle, criticality assessment, condition appraisal, refurbishment plan, asset care schedules and single point lessons.
- TPM and visual management.
- Other measures - MTBF and MTTR.
- Using OEE to determine the priority of focus
- Successful implementation, pitfalls to avoid, prioritisation and roll out.
